Did you know:
  • Millions of Americans suffer from unhealthy levels of stress at work.
  • Stress contributes to heart disease, high blood pressure, strokes, and other illnesses in many individuals.
  • Approximately 65% of U.S. adults are overweight.
  • Approximately 30% of children are overweight and 15% are obese.
  •  21% to 53% of college students have experienced at least one incident of dating violence.
  • An estimated six million women are assaulted by a male partner each year and of these, 1.8 million are severely assaulted.
  • Over 850,000 aggravated assaults were reported to the F.B.I. last year.

At Valley Shore Martial Arts, we never want you to become a statistic, but we also believe in training for the day that you hope never comes.

At Valley Shore Martial Arts we offer:
  • Self-defense classes designed to make you aware of your surroundings and how to react if the worst does happen.
  • Women's self-defense classes, focusing on what women can realistically do in violent and/or life threatening situations.
  • Training which will focus on making you more aware of possible red flags which could in turn prevent a potentially dangerous or life threatening situation from occurring.
  • Programs that incorporate physical strength training and will also improve flexibility.
  • Programs specifically designed to help you relieve stress and improve your mental health.
