Professor Ferriera & Chosei Motobu Sensei on 4/20/2008 @ 1 p.m.: Valley Shore Martial Arts proudly presents a seminar taught by Professor Ferriera and Chosei Motobu Sensei, and three of his master students. The seminar should last approximately 3 hours. For more information, click here.

Women's Self Defense Seminar on 1/12/2008 @ 1 p.m.: A class will be taught by Kim Kleiman, a second degree black belt in Kempo Karate. For more information, click here.

Tai Chi classes beginning on 1/10/2008 @ 7 p.m.: A 5 week Tai Chi session taught by Robert Michael begins this coming Thursday. Click here for more information. Pre-registration is encouraged.

Kubaton Seminar on 11/14/2007 @ 2 p.m. & 11/17/2007 @ 3 p.m.: Each Whistle Stop Cafe customer given a kubaton on November 3rd is eligle to attend the kubaton seminar for free. The kubaton was invented by Hedy's uncle, Soke (10th degree) Takayuki Kubota, for self defense.

10/15/2007: Valley Shore Martial Arts would like to welcome Robert Michael, an experienced T'ai Chi instructor. 8/20/2007: Valley Shore Martial Arts is pleased to congratulate Joe Muscatello on the rank of Lakan Isa (First Degree Black Belt) in Modern Arnis.

4/1/2007: Valley Shore Martial Arts is pleased to announce that we will be reopening our doors in the beginning of April 2007. Our new facility is located at 41 Main Street, Centerbrook Connecticut. The 2,865 square foot facility has been newly renovated. The location contains 2 dojo floors, with the main floor ceiling height at 20 feet to accomodate long range weapons training. Our waiting area is elevated (balcony) above the main dojo floor to provide ample viewing for spectators. In addition to the 2 training areas the facility is equipped with changing rooms, a spacious coat room, a reception area and a large party room which can double as a quiet room for homework or whatever needs may arise.
